Our
leaders
The SDP Steering Group set our strategic direction and manage its execution with additional oversight and financial management provided by the SDP Board.
Our core body is the SDP Roundtable which discusses and raises awareness of issues and opportunities related to the use of technology and data, through research and by refining and applying our sustainable digitalisation frameworks.
Our
history
2018
The SDP was born out of a thought leadership project by Simon Carter called Crossing the Threshold.
2022
Our principle application frameworks are officially launched for use by organisations operating in the built environment.
2024
Our Steering Group sets out a new Strategic Plan and sets up four working groups to execute the strategy. Our SDP Roundtable starts producing research articles to raise awareness of the issues and opportunities related to sustainable digitalisation.
2019
The SDP Roundtable was formed, bringing together ESG and technology leaders, initially across the built environment, to discuss and act on issues relevant to sustainable digitalisation.
2021
We started developing and testing our principle application frameworks to provide a practical way for organisations to bring the sustainable digitalisation principles to life.
2023
The SDP is incorporated as a non-profit and receives charity status with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). The SDP Board is formed and Sheridan Ware takes over from Simon Carter as Chair.
2025
The sustainable digitalisation pledge is launched providing organisations with a starting point on their sustainable digitalisation journey.
